Mission Statement

The Mason Media Lab (MML) is an advanced multimedia facility where faculty lead student teams can develop animation, graphic design and gaming projects. In addition, since the MML employs student production staff with advanced skills in gaming, animation and graphic design, those services are available at a reduced cost to provide a real world learning experience. It is our goal to foster the development of professional skills in our staff by providing the newest technologies, software and hardware and by providing them learning opportunities in their areas of expertise. To ensure this, the MML team accepts projects that advance staff design/technical skills but also allows the development of client relation skills, setting realistic goals, and meeting commitments. The MML is an EdMS unit (Educational Media Services), which includes GMU-TV and Videoconferencing.
